      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

The final installment of Lemony Snicket's magnum opus adds new contours to its expansive cast, provides answers to some of the pernicious questions within the series' lore, and delivers a finale that is more graceful than unfortunate.

Carlos Valladares San Francisco Chronicle As Olaf, Neil Patrick Harris gets closer than the crazy-funny Jim Carrey did (in 2004) to Olaf's flawed sincerity, his pompousness that covers up his complicated past. Rated: 4/4 Mar 4, 2019 Full Review Jonathon Dornbush Entertainment Weekly A Series of Unfortunate Events delivers its tightest, most exciting season yet in its final run of episodes. Rated: 8.7/10 Mar 4, 2019 Full Review Ben Travers indieWire A tragic story of loss, grief, and how life grows more and more unfair with each passing year lived, but the truths told in these three excellent seasons are pushed into the realm of entertainment by the enthusiasm and talent of its storytellers. Rated: A- Mar 4, 2019 Full Review Graeme Tuckett Stuff.co.nz Neil Patrick Harris is a treat as Olaf - even better than Jim Carrey was in the movie - and the rest of cast all seem to be having fun. Aug 27, 2021 Full Review Alix Turner Ready Steady Cut The adaptation of the last four titles in Lemony Snicket's famous series of books is beautifully made and a satisfying conclusion, thanks to Daniel Handler and Barry Sonnenfeld. angela g this show is really good i wished they would reboot the show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Jeffrey M A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 3 was an amazing season. In fact, all the seasons were amazing. It was a super duper funny season. My favorite character was Count Olaf ( played by Neil Patrick Harris). A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 3 was an amazing series. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/09/23 Full Review Eard 3 The first two seasons were better. Season 3 was a let down. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Ryker D This season it was kind of a let down first off they brought that awful Carmelita back the character isn't even that bad the actor is what kills it because it's a horrible actor playing a horrible character also I only like four episodes out of this season that is terrible not to mention Mr. Poe is the worst this season was a massive went down and so much worse than I thought it would be Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member (all seasons) Although the narration seemed a bit much in the first episodes and it took me a while to get used to the aesthetics of the show, this reimagining of the classic book series is a definite winner that certainly holds its own, with a great, wacky sense of humour and a really good cast, from which the absolutely terrific Neil Patrick Harris stands out. And, especially in the second and third seasons, the show manages to get across all the suspense and drama in a very powerful way. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Denner F A conclusão da história não me agradou. Mas a série é fantastica. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/27/21 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
