GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Love the Beatles? How about live orchestral performance?

If so, this is the show for you.

As part of its GR Pops series, Grand Rapids Symphony will perform with Classical Mystery Tour during a tribute show to the popular Beatles album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band this weekend.

The three performances -- slated for 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29 and 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 30 -- will commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the album's debut on June 1, 1967.

All three performances will be held at DeVos Performance Hall in downtown Grand Rapids.

The show will pair fans' favorite Beatles tunes complete in all their original symphonic glory and feature more than two dozen Beatles tunes, from Sgt. Pepper plus songs from other albums, performed exactly as they sound on the original recordings.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band won four Grammy Awards in 1968 including Album of the Year. Over the past 50 years, it has sold more than 30 million albums.

The tribute shows will be one of the more than 400 performances the group gives each year.

Tickets can be purchased at the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra's website.
